PRODUCTION NOTES: Recorded in Ypsilanti, Michigan, back in 1976 or thereabouts. The three-part vocal harmonies were recorded live, though all the other instrumental tracks were laboriously recorded using a monophonic synthesizer — meaning, it only played one note at a time (no chords).
Guitars, bass, digitized banjos and synthesized sound effects: Tim
Vocals: Robin, Lorrie and Karen

There's riots in the ghetto, they're losin' their minds
But it's quiet in the meadow where I snooze away the time
I was goin' off my rocker, but now I've been cured
Rockin' in my cabin in the Michigan woods
There's no forest ranger, there's no grocery store
But I won't be in danger when there's a nuclear war
It's natural livin', the way that you should
Rockin' in my cabin in the Michigan woods
Life in Detroit was gettin' awfully bizarre
All the cars and the factory lines
I was nearly destroyed, but now it's better by far
Where the stars are rollin' over the pines
Sometimes the moon gets so gloomy and dark
You think that it's dead or it's gone
Sometimes the moon seems so faded and dark
When it's waiting to be reborn
I sleep like a baby from sundown til dawn
My friends think I'm crazy, but I think they're wrong
I needed it badly, I never had it so good
Rockin' in my cabin in the Michigan woods
